We have created a recorded primary assembly powerpoint which can be downloaded by schools to share with primary aged children, it is about Remembrance and sharing stories that will help them understand commonwealth involvement in WWI and WWII.
With thanks to the British Legion for providing images and information we have used in this resource and to British Futures for their work on this with us over time. It includes the stories of Hardit Singh Malik, William Billington, Shahamad Khan, Walter Tull and Noor Inyat-Khan.
The assembly has a complete voice over, it is suitable to send to classes across Primary while we can’t meet for assemblies altogether, so that children can watch it in their own classes, with their own teacher. It finishes with some reflective questions for the class to explore as they hear the stories of people from across the Commonwealth.
