We would like to extend a huge thank you to our funders: The Pears Foundation, MHCLG and DfE. We are so pleased, this year, to have over 27,500 children in 924 classes signed up to take part in the 28 areas of the country which are part of The Linking Network community. The 2020-21 Virtual Schools Linking programme is fully resourced and free – creating opportunities for children to connect together while apart; we are currently busy delivering virtual teacher CPD all round the country and would like to also thank our linking schools, it is lovely to be working with you.
Access to our linking resources is free for schools and they are there to be freely shared with schools. As well as linking resources we have many resources that can be used across the whole school community that support you with PSHCE, great books, ideas for assemblies and lessons; take a look on our website, here. For 2020-21 linking, we have created 5 new stimulating, fully resourced lessons here, which support primary children to build connections with others- and include a fabulous shared digital theatre experience for Key Stage Two Linking Children from M6 Theatre! Our new secondary linking resources will be released on Friday 6th November.
If you want to see more about the linking click here on this PowerPoint, created to explain schools linking to school leaders, this shares some features of the new Primary Programme.
As always, we want to say thank you to all the headteachers, school leaders and teachers for their commitment to broadening children’s experiences, and again to our funders Pears Foundation, MHCLG and DfE for their support and to all the partners we work with to deliver this work so that children get opportunities to connect with one another.
