Remembrance Day is just around the corner. We know how important it is for schools to create space to mark Remembrance Day. We’re delighted to support the Remember Together campaign again this year. The campaign highlights and celebrates the service and sacrifice made by servicemen and women of all creeds and colours, helping to make our national tradition of Remembrance feel relevant and inclusive to everybody in Britain today.
We’ve created some assembly slides for you to use in school to focus on the contribution of people from across the commonwealth and to support the ‘Remember Together’ campaign. Schools can select from and add these slides to their remembrance assembly. The assembly is adaptable to fit with each school’s traditions for remembrance and there are also slides that can be used to give pupils an opportunity to reflect on the importance of remembrance and the ways different people mark remembrance. A short video from the Army Museum is embedded into the PowerPoint.
There are 2 Primary resources and 1 Secondary resource available and all are free to download. Primary A is the Assembly we shared last year so if you used it last year you may prefer to use Primary B which is new this year.
