We are very excited to welcome Peterborough, who have launched their linking partnership with TLN this year! The Peterborough linking programme is led by Vivacity;  an independent, not-for-profit organisation with charitable status, who manage many of Peterborough’s most popular culture and leisure venues on behalf of Peterborough City Council.

The 2020 Peterborough linking year began with a full training day for the linking teachers in February.  This will be followed up with a half day session later in the spring term.

The linking year is off to a great start; the teachers at CPD1 were all incredibly enthusiastic.   We have 8 classes signed up, with possibly two more to link. We’ve given each linking pair a name of an important figure in Peterborough’s past. This provides the children with something they can learn about together, as well as increasing their pride in the city’s past, plus is provides a useful name for the venues and coach company so they know they have the correct linked pair!  We are fortunate enough to have a digital timeline of the city where the children can read about the figures, which seemed a good resource to share with the classes.

TLN are very pleased to be working with Peterborough’s teachers. We have a great year of linking ahead for our young people and can’t wait to share it with you!
