The Bad-Tempered Ladybird, by Eric Carle, tells the story of a ladybird who does not want to share his aphids, with the distinctive images that Carle is famous for. We use this book alongside Emma McCann’s book Munch for our KS1 activity, What’s In It For Me. Using the two stories, this activity explores the ideas of sharing, helping each other, and understanding that we are all linked. Both The Bad- Tempered Ladybird and Munch deal with the ways in which working and living together are positive processes that help us as much as they help the people we are with.
