Planning for a new school year
12 September, 2023
We hope the start of a new school year has had a smooth start? We’re excited to be back and are looking forward to what we hope will be a great year for all those involved in our Schools Linking programmes and our Intergenerational linking work.
Last year was a great year for us here at The Linking Network, we loved being able to return fully to face to face linking and feel privileged to be able to support leaders, schools and teachers, particularly in these challenging times for schools. Over 26,000 children from 27 local authority areas took part in Schools Linking and we reached over 200,000 through our curriculum resources.

Our research with Kent University has shown that linking is one of the most powerful tools schools can use in prejudice reduction. You can read more about the evidence and impact of our work here.
We’ll be rolling out CPD to teachers and holding planning meetings over the coming weeks – if you’d like to know more or start your own linking journey then have a look at our national facilitator network page here to get in touch with your local facilitator or get in touch with the central team directly here.
