The Secret Sky Garden

By Linda Sarah ISBN-13: 978-1471119255

This book is an excellent primary read for anyone wanting to weave caring for the environment into their primary school linking class visits. Caring about something beyond ourselves and having a shared goal is a great way to form confident connections with others. In this book two children, Funni and Zoo form a friendship while working together to plant seeds and grow a garden in a plot of land.

The Secret Sky Garden works beautifully with our #iwill4nature  and Eden Communities resources. Lots of our teachers really loved this book last year and used it to inspire wildflower seed planting.

You can also click here to visit the Roots and Shoots website which has some excellent environmentally friendly planting activities to support learning in the classroom and as homework projects.
